VCA students are encouraged to develop skills outside the academic classroom. Our enrichments are meant to provide the opportunity for students to learn new art and music skills. Our PE classes and Ski Days are included in our school’s curriculum because we believe in the importance of developing the body as well as the mind. Our goal is to encourage to our students to be the most well-rounded students they can be.
Chapel is a time to gather together as a family to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is also a time to expand on topics and Bible verses that we are learning in class each day.We bring in speakers, pastors and leaders from our community to share wisdom and encourage our students. Once a month, we come together as a K-8 family so we can continue to build and strengthen our relationships within our VCA family.
Both Upper and Lower Academy students have Physical Education 4 days a week. Coach J creates and choses games to encourage students according to their ages and abilities. PE time is purposeful, skill-driven and designed to build character within our students.
Taking advantage of the beautiful community in which we live, both our Lower and Upper Academy students participate in Ski Days on Beaver Creek mountain with their peers. Both parents and teachers help chaperone and enjoy skiing and snowboarding in our awesome backyard.
Vail Christian Academy offers art for all grades. Students complete various art projects and lessons throughout the year. The students display their work throughout during the year providing them the opportunity to showcase their creative expression which brings glory to God
Our music teacher, Mr. Webster, teaches VCA students “life” instruments: vocals, drums, guitar and piano. He inspires his students to glorify God with their voices through choir and worship time in Chapel. Mr. Webster also organizes and directs the VCA chapel band musicians, vocalists, and production team.
